Marriage Courses

The objective of the Marriage Course is to promote healthy marriages. It is very practical, giving tools for strengthening and deepening relationships over a lifetime.

The course consists of 7 evenings, each covering a different topic. During your private discussion time as a couple you will be given topics to discuss (sometimes with the help of an exercise), during this section background music is played so you can’t hear other couples and they can’t hear you as well! Candles, chocolates and honesty.

It is seven evenings set in a tranquil candlelit atmosphere. You will be served with refreshments and dessert at a romantic table for two while listening to the practical talks that are informative and fun including video clips of couples sharing their own experiences and street interviews from around the world.

There are no group work and you will never be requested to share anything about your relationship with anyone other than your spouse.

COUNSELLING

At Hospital Chapel we place a strong premium on maintaining healthy marriages. That's why we put effort into engaged/married couples who are planning their wedding and married couples who are keen on building strong marriages; Plan for more than the wedding!

Marriage can bring such joy, yet sometimes such pain as well, so we want to provide as much help as we can to engaged/Married couples - in the practical aspects of planning their great celebration day as well as living joyful in the longer-term.

Our marriage counselling helps engaged/married couples plan for the adventure of their new life together.  You will begin to explore your strengths and differences - how you will complement each other in the various roles within marriage.

Towards Marriage:

A Christian marriage is a total commitment of two people to God and to one another. If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4: 10-12
