Our Faith Statement

Our belief or statement of faith are some of the pillars of the foundation on which we are building and they include the following:
  1. The unity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the God-head Genesis 1:26, John 10:30, Colossians 2:9, 1 John 5:7.
  2. The Sovereignty of God in creation. Genesis 1:1
  3. The Divine inspiration and entire trustworthiness of the Holy Scripture (the Bible) as originally given and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct 2 Timothy. 3:16, 2 Peter 1.:21.
  4. The universal sinfulness and guilt of all men since the fall, rendering them subject to God’s wrath and condemnation, without respect of persons and without discrimination, on account of race, nation, color, social positions or otherwise, Romans 3:23, Acts 10:34, Galatians 3:28, Romans 6:23.
  5. Redemption from the guilt, penalty, dominion and pollution of sin only through the sacrificial death of the Lord Jesus Christ Romans 3:24, Hebrews 9:12,15.
  6. The bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead and His ascension to the right hand of God the Father Matthew 28:6, 1 Corinthians 15:16-19, Colossians 3:1, Ephesians 1:20.
  7. The presence and power of the Holy Spirit in the work of conviction, repentance from sin, and the new birth John 16:8-11, Titus 3:5.
  8. The justification of the sinner by the grace of God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone Ephesians 2:8, Romans 3:24.
  9. The indwelling, baptism and work of the Holy Spirit in the believer and in the Church Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12:4-13, Romans 8:16, Acts 10:44, Acts 1:5, Joel 2: 28, Galatians 5:22 -23.
  10. The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ Matthew 24:44, Revelations 1:7.
  11. The unity of all believers in Christ without respect of persons and without discrimination on account of sex, race, color, nation, social position, denomination or otherwise Ephesians 4:3-6, Galatians​ 3:28, Acts 10:34
  12. The existence of Heaven and Hell Genesis 1:1, Psalm 9: 17, John 14:1-4, 2 Peter 2:4.
  13. God’s judgment Ecclesiastes 12:14, 2 Corinthians 5:10, Revelations 20:11-15.
  14. Divine healing Mark 16:18, Matthew 8:17, James 5:14-16, Acts 10:38, Isaiah 53:5
  15. The rising of believers to meet with the Lord in the air 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, 1 Corinthians 15:51-53.
  16. The institution of marriage as ordained by God, that is between a man and a woman. Genesis 2:18-24, Hebrews 13:4, Matthew 19:3-9, Romans 7:2-3.
  17. Forgiveness of sin as spelt out in the Holy Bible 1 John 1:9, Luke 6:37, Ephesians 1:7, Daniel 9:9, Mark 3:29, Luke 7:47, James 5:15, Luke 11:4, Matthew 18:15-22, Mark 11: 25-26.
  18. Water baptism by immersion after the new birth Matthew 28:19, Acts 8:38-39.
  19. The celebration of the Lord’s supper as commanded in the Holy Bible. Mark 14:22-25, Acts. 2:42, 1 Corinthians 11:23-29.
