What Forgiveness Really Is

A lot has happened lately that has caused me to really question this act called forgiveness. What exactly is forgiveness? People offer counsel to the hurting, encouraging them to forgive and forget but really what is forgiveness? Here’s her story: (1) She tried religion but it didn’t satisfy her. She told Jesus, “Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship” (v. 20 NKJV).
